Naran Kaghan

Where Alpine Meadows Meet Crystal Lakes

About Naran Kaghan

The Naran Kaghan Valley stretches along the Kunhar River in the Mansehra District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, forming one of the most popular tourist corridors in Pakistan. Starting from Balakot, the valley unfolds with ever increasing beauty as you travel through Kaghan, Naran, and eventually reach the stunning Babusar Top at 4,173 meters. The valley is famous for the legendary Saif ul Malook Lake, a glacial lake at 3,224 meters that is steeped in folklore and surrounded by snow capped peaks. Other attractions include the charming hill station of Shogran, the meadows of Siri Paye, and the pristine Lulusar Lake near Babusar Top. The valley is at its most beautiful during summer when wildflowers carpet the meadows and waterfalls cascade down from melting glaciers.
